Summer is ideal for visiting your local library or curling up with a Kindle! Reading is an excellent way to relax, unwind, fuel one’s imagination, and deepen one’s understanding of our world. 

Looking for a good read, but still figuring out where to start? Look no further! Here are some recommended titles by grade (2-8). 




Second Grade

Having read many of these books over the years, each one will be a valuable addition to a reading list! For those students who could use some incentive, check out the San Diego Public Library’s Summer Reading Program (starts June 1st)! Prizes are awarded at special milestones.
